Carley Neill is a performer equally at home in opera and musical theatre. Recent stage performances include the title role in Puccini's opera Suor Angelica, Mrs. Mister in Marc Blitzstein's rarely performed opera The Cradle will Rock, Marian in The Music Man, and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance. Ms. Neill has concertized with many of the region’s Symphony Orchestras, including the Folsom Symphony, Camellia Symphony, and the Sacramento Youth Symphony. As an interpreter of new music, Ms. Neill has been featured in bay area composer George Romanis' Symphonic Meditations at the Mondavi Center in Davis, as well as Los Angeles composer George Sarah's moving movie score to the 1928 silent film La Passione de Jean d'arc at the Crest Theater in downtown Sacramento.
When not performing she maintains an active vocal studio in Sacramento where she lives with her three dogs, three chickens, and husband, tenor Robert Vann.
